My Y driver has either died or has become dysfunctional. I can move the Y axis servo freely, but not the X when the machine is powered up. Can someone please post some troubleshooting links, and email address for parts.
I can see some displays for X and Y drivers when viewing the machine from the bottom. The X driver says "run" and dashes blink when I move the X axis on the machine. The Y driver (on the left looking at the machine from the center of the bottom) say "R04". The dashes move when I click Y direction to try to move the head, but the Y servo doesn't move.
Are there pinouts available for the servo connectors and servos themselves to see if I have a burnt servo? Do the larger silver boxes with the numbers on them have the high current drivers in them for the servos?
This is a reply to update readers with the results of this problem. There may be more information in other threads. Briefly, the error code on the servo controller was "A04" or "R04" (depending on how you want to interpret the first 7 segment digits)
From what has been communicated to us this was an "over-current" error - Except when we had a poorly tightened wire, we also got "A04" so it might be something like "bad feedback" error. We replaced the servo controller and all is good (except we're still struggling a bit to understand software - and software updates.
From information provided to us by the manufacturer, there only a handful of our particular year and version sold that included our particular servo controller, so the odds of our problem being the exact same thing as the problem that brings you to this forum, is fairly low.
