I know there are these machines in the US. How are they powering the unit? Are they using a transformer? If so, do you have link to recommendation? My first plan was to wire it up like I listed with L - 120V+ and N - 120V- but after reading this may cause problems.
I think this is not possible because if the 2 phase are the same you receive no 230V difference and if there is a phase shift you recieve higher voltage. You should use a transformer like this
Utah. We took delivery in January 2016. Standard IEC cable plugs in to wall power 120AC. No issues with power so far. No extra transformers, etc, needed. This may be an older machine than what's currently being discussed, however. VP-2500D with what I think is 'Controller V1.'
Zitat von crash9five im Beitrag #7t so your customers know, this product did work and seems to power the unit on with no issues using standard 110V power from US outlet.
No the Servo machines can only operate on 230V because of ´servo driver only available for 230V. I think the Block Transformer is a good solution as I told you before. What's the power rating for your transformer?
Michael, Would it be possible to send me the manufacturer and model number of the power supply, or supplies if there is more then one, in VP-2000S and VP2500DP ? I am in the process of writing a purchase justification to my boss to purchase one of your machines. In my justification I need to include any additional equipment I will need, such as air compressor and Windows computer. I would rather not guess at the power requirements, and if I had your machine's wiring diagram (which I don't think you would want to send me) and/or the machine's power supplies make and model, I could figure out what I need.
Thanks, I went to the Meanwell website and took a look at a few power supplies and all of them had input specifications of: VOLTAGE RANGE = 80~264VAC FREQUENCY RANGE = 47-63Hz Unless the power supply model/s you use don't have the same specs, or your machines run something directly off the input line voltage, I have to believe I can just plug either one of your machines in, here in the USA. When you get a chance, I know you are a busy guy, if you would please let me know what model number your power supplies are, I would really appreciate it. Also, if you power supplies are custom made by Meanwell, would you be able to send their electrical specifications? I have a couple of weeks before I can order, because we are presently moving into a new building, 4 times the size were we are at right now.
