I did not like the SOT-23 case with the SN065 nozzle. It happens that the nozzle takes up the components a bit with an offset and then it is reset. For the SOT-23-5 and SOT-23-6 case, the nozzles SN065 and SN040 are well suited. My settings for SOT-23, with which I get good results in the screenshot. SOT23 prop.png - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)
I adjust the position of pick up the component not only on the camera, but also on the nozzle. The displacement of the camera position and the position of the nozzle are different for different feeders and for different heads. With this setting, the CN 065 nozzle perfectly captures SOT-23 and 0603 components.
Yes. Since each feeder is assigned a nozzle, I bring the corresponding nozzle to the feeder, lower it almost to the component, use a microscope to approximately determine the offset and make the appropriate correction to the coordinates of the feeder. Pick up accuracy can be assessed by the vacuum level during the test pick up of the component. With this approach, it is also important that each head only uses the corresponding nozzle.
It is interesting to watch it in the video. You can do?
I adjust the coordinates of the component in the feeder along the upper camera. But I also observed that the component in the tape is not always the same. There may be slight displacements, this is more true for plastic tapes. Also, the tape can advance a little more or less, I saw it in the upper chamber. Also, I use a mode where both heads have the same nozzles. This mode greatly increases the speed.
Now, if only the vacuum level was recorded in the log. Then, after the end of the task, you can see if there were problems with any of the tapes or components.
It will take a long time to make such a video, because different views should be included in the frame, but I'll try when I have time. Here is a video of the machine still in the setup process:
It is not too complicated to adjust top camera to head 1 position using a soft surface to dtick nozzle inside and check position using top camera. This way is described in manual. Then adjust head 1 to head 2 position using a bottom camera. It is only important to use 2 nozzles having good concentricity. Or one nozzle changing between both heads.
