Hi Michael, I am very happy that I ordered a machine from you, and I am excited that it will arrive next week. I am getting ready for it to arrive by purchasing some air hose parts. I looked through your manual, and I see a picture on page 6 which shows the blue air hose going to the machine. The text says, "A pipe and fitting to connect the air was supplied with your machine." What does the other end of the blue pipe look like? Does it have a fitting on it? If so, what is the size of the fitting? If there is no fitting, what is the diameter of the blue tube? I would like to make sure that I buy the correct parts so that I can connect to my air hose (which has 1/4" NPT fittings).
I am also going to buy an air/water separator and air filter, like this one: https://trimantec.com/product/airtac-gfr...gfr300c08ac2wt/. I can get a 5um filter or a 40um filter. What filter size do you recommend? I looked at the datasheet for this filter, and I think the flow is more than 110L/min with a 40um filter, but I do not know for sure. Thank you!
My VP2800HP arrived, and I am pleased to see that it has a 1/4" NPT female air hose fitting. I will wait to order an air filter until I know whether Michael recommends a 5um or 40um filter.
the 40um filter should do the job no problem. For the power consumption Question a 500VA Transformer should be ok. Your main switching power supply is able to deliver 480W but used maybe 200W. The X motor has 200W, Y Motor 400W. So maximum peak power consumption can be 700VA if you run the machine on high speed. The 230V power supply is only needed for our HP servo motor based machines all other can be operated at 110V too.
Hi Michael, Thank you so much for the information! Here is what I just ordered: Airtac GFR: Filter/Regulator with Metal Bowl - GFR300C08AC3T for about $50 (with shipping and handling) ACUPWR AU-750 750-Watt 110-120 Volts to 220-240 Volts Step Up Transformer for about $207 (with shipping)
I'm posting this in case your other customers are looking for this information. Thanks again!
The transformer has arrived, and the machine is working so far! I have not yet programmed it to load a board, but I have moved the various axes. I am still waiting for my air filter to arrive.
