Today I clicked the button below - that advances the feeder to the given distance. The only problem was that it advanced all the cover tapes which then were slack, and several cover tapes were snagged by the push feeder nails, necessitating a lot of repairs and loss of a few pricey parts.
So the button needs to have its software rewritten. 1) Advance to current location 2) Advance cover tape 3) Push feeder head down
Actually I find step 3 to be kind of useless and slightly dangerous. Other routines never seem to check if this push feeder head is down. It is not clear what buttons raise the push feeder head, so this feature seems a little buggy. This would be useful if you provided another button to raise the head again. In its current state I would advise most users to stay away from this button and not use it.
I don't think so the software is bugg in this case! I don't understand why the push feeder head is down? Did yoou forgot to open the air supply?? These buttons only neede to adjust the push feeder needle position and not used for anything else!
If you wan't to advance the push feeder you need to use the right click menu to feed part!
If I click the button the cover tapes òf all the feeders on that side are loosened (aprox. 20 mm!), then the head goes down into the holes of the tape, and stays there. You cannot get it out again. If you dare to do a system reset, the head starts a homing cycle, ripping all now loose cover tapes out of the feeders, causing a lot of damage! I clicked on it once by accident, and had 30 minutes work afterwards to get everything on again.
