I have a VP-2800HP-WNE where we have some issues with some feeders and where the components either by static follow the tape up or when the tape is peeled off it is peeled off to fast. I have tried to change the lift off speed W/E/N_lift but even if I drop the speed all the way down to 1/1 it still peels off as quickly as if I have the speed on 50/100. There is very little documentaion on what the numbers are and how I know that the correct speed profile / lift of profile is selected for a specific feeder. It is not the reel that is the problem, as when I moved the reel over to the next feeder, copied all the settings from the previous feeder and have a local speed ticked in (both the same, and selected as mounting speed) the peel of speed is hugely different, and the new place works, where the old feeder shakes out nearly all parts. I have tried to modify the spring tensions, and experimented a lot (even swapped the springs), but as far as I can tell the only thing that would fix this is slower feeding and peele off actions.
Please help me understand how I change these lift off speed settings for a specific feeder, or in worst case, how I change it for all feeders? What am I missing??
First of all, I would check the accuracy of getting the pusher pins into the holes of the tape. If there is a transverse displacement relative to the tape, such an effect will be observed. This offset can be changed in the settings of the feeder coordinates.
Just as a note as I've solved this. After I updated to 2.48 test software from 2.47 this now works, I can set the speeds correctly and have no more problems with tape pulling being to fast. So it was a bug in the previous firmware, I've verified it by reverting back and it stops being controllable, speeds of 1 2 is as fast as speeds of 50 60.
