If you do production with your machine of several different designs, it is way more efficient to load and unload the cover tapes than to just let them break and fix them later.

Here is a picture of a tape holder one of my employees fabricated to hold the tapes. It is covered with two sided tape, that eventually will need to be renewed. We will just stick a new piece over the older one.

In the back is a short tape fixed on the spring of the push feeder. In the front are 2 long tapes fixed just using the weight of the clothespin.
