Is it possible to place the feeder pins down onto the tape so that the alignment can be checked? Can't see any option in the software to do this. If not, can I run a very slow feed so that I can check it visually?
Hi Allan, unfortunally it is not possible to move the pins down without starting the full push cycle. The only way is to adjust one line by hand until it fits and use this position to align the next line. You can use the top camera for alignment too.
We are planning to assist the position adjustment by moving the top camera to the first hole position so you can move the tape until it fits.
Thanks for the reply, I understand this for the West feeders in the x direction, I'd guess that a slight misalignment would be corrected on the first tape advance by the conical shape of the push pins?
But how do I check that it is aligned correctly in the y direction? Do I just eyeball alignment by looking down the line of the holes in the tape versus the position of the push pins?
BTW Many thanks for bringing this great machine to the marketplace!
yes you do just eyeball alignment by looking down the line of the holes in the tape versus the position of the push pins. But you can inspect the tractor tape and if it got damaged you can adjust the position. Normally each line has a constant distance so add a fixed offset from line to line.
We are building some assisting functions in software soon but need's time to finish.
